Photoshoot: Paint-A-Thon

Saturday was a busy day for me ^.^ After a week of early mornings and early nights I thought I was gonna be able to sleep in.....maybe like 8am. I thought that would just be great.......but then my friend Kassi decided that wasn't so.......We had been planning all week to do a shoot/BBQ at Nick Johnson's house but he had a special project for me and Kassi so he wanted to know if we'd show up early......and this is how my day ended up going:

8:15am - showed up to Nick's house with Kassi (meaning she had already woke me up by this time and got me there).......

8:45am - by this time we were being painted into the first of the different ideas for the day. Nick's lovely wife Shannon is in the kitchen making us breakfast and his two year old daughter is in the room watching us being painted........

10:30am - finished painting and shooting the images for the idea......I don't have any from that one. And there might be one that is safe for work....that'll be the one I post later ^.^

10:45am - done and onto shower numbe rone for me and number two for Kassi........

11:45am - done with my shower and waiting on Kassi to be done when Jeremy Kruempel shows up followed not too far by Jeremy Chaney and then Kayla from Shuttermind Photography. and now its a party.

12:30pm - by this time we're painting for the second look. I can't remember how long this process took but I do have some images for you.....check these out......

This one is of me......
I would be bones in this instance......
Taken by Kayla of Shuttermind Photography.......
I think it turned out great ^.^!!!

This one is Kassi ^.^
She would be muscle.............
Also taken by Kayla from Shuttermind Photography

2:30pm- put us back in the shower for number two that day for me and number three for Kassi

4pm - now by this time I was done and ready and dressed for my next stint at shooting......so Nick and Bob of  J. Robert Williams Photography (http://jrobertwilliams.com/) showed Kayla some lighting techniques on me........here is the result ^.^

Another pair of images from Kayla.........
Super love it......
Though I will say that this is one of the few times I had on clothes!

This would be a beautiful head shot by Nick ^.^
Always a fan of what we create ^.^

And then a beautiful shot by Bob Williams........
He got to play with one of Nick's toys.......
And now he wants one ^.^

5pm - by this time Kassi is outta the shower but they go ahead and throw her in another one basically......they had a hose over her while she's in a mini pool......it made me super giggle. Here is one image from that......

An image by Nick Johnson.....
I think its a great capture ^.^

Now throughout this time I'm sure we were eating too. There was an awesome buffet of fresh cookies and pulled pork sandwhiches......I was way too happy to eat these things by the way......

7pm - last painting......this one of super heros. Kassi was being painted by Jeremy Krumel as Sue Storm. And Nick painted me as Electra......Now I don't have any of the pictures of me but I have one of Kassi and then a behind the scenes image......here ya go ^.^

This is Kassi as Sue Storm......
Taken by Kayla from Shuttermind Photography......

And this is us as superhero best friends ^.^

9:30pm - all shooting done and we all head out.....or those of us that are still there. And this would be long enough of a day right? Well not for me I guess. Kayla and I decide to go to the party at 245media that Bob invited everyone to.....even just to stop by to meet some people and such for a little bit......and it was great.....they had a photo booth........

They had a great band.....and to tell the truth it was a nice way to end a long day ^.^ Meeting a ton of super talented and great people ^.^

I'll post more pictures as I get them in a part two post ^.^

And as always thanx for reading ^.^ (I super mean that)

Movie Review: Thor

So I went with my friend Kassi and her boy Greg to the movie Thor ^.^ and I rather loved it. I mean I'm one for that particular set of mythological gods....in particular Loki the God of Chaos is my favorite (without chaos there is no change.....and without change we do not move forward), so I was already sold on it. But there is another reason why I'm sold on this movie and that would be because of this man..........

Now I was trying to get a shirtless pic because he's got an awesome six pack.......
But that was a no go. But his outfit is still pretty epic..........
Oh and just for your information, that is my one issue with this movie
That he's not shirtless enough........

Now there is also the idea that for some odd reason
Gods know how to treat a woman.......
It was super cute!!

And this would be a picture of him, his father and Loki
Loki though tending to be evil is my favorite ^.^

So basically there is my movie review. I don't like to give things away. I would say that if your into the Marvel style that this one is super pretty just like the rest. And if you like the theology then you'll be interested in this. It does go into some sciency like things which is nice for all out inner nerds........and it is most definitely left open for a sequel........(and he should be shirtless more often)!!!!

As always thanx for reading ^.^ (and I'll probably have another one up tonight.....trying to get better at posting regularly)

DIY: How to Make a Bow (Unfinished) + Little Giveaway!!

So I most definitely said that I was gonna post this awhile back but things have gotten a little hectic for me......I went from a night shift to a morning shift and my sleep schedule is all sorts of wacky right now. And I managed to get it figured out enough to have the energy to post it tonight.....

Lets get the first official Do It Yourself blog post going......

I'm starting with these materials:

*Fabric in two colors (most should do as long as they have a little stiffness to them)
*Ribbon in one color
*Pair of scissors
*Sewing Machine (hand sewing should work for this too)
*Measuring Tape (mines name is Trusty)
*Straight Pins
*Small Piece of string or embroidery floss
*Hot Glue Gun

Step 1:
Measure out your fabric. I'm making mine a little bit big on purpose to try something out but here are the measurements from mine - Color #1 12.5 in by 6.5 in; Color #2 12.5 in by 4.25 in; Ribbon 12.5 in by 5/8 in. As shown below......here is where I explain what I mean by unfinished.....I'm not sewing all the edges so around the loops are gonna be kinda scraggly looking on purpose. I think it adds a little bit of charm to it. I show how to make a finished one in my next DIY Blog entry.

Step 2:
Your gonna wanna fold the whole bow in half. Not during this process I tend to find that the ribbon is the worst about folding in half. but it you can get the ends to stay where you want them then you can worry about the rest later.......as a clarifier you are folding the boy in half inside out.....and then pinning it along the edge as shown below to help with the sewing process (great for beginners like me ^.^).

Step 3:
Use your sewing machine (or hand sew it) along the edge. I've just been using a straight line.....nothing fancy. It's a good idea to at this point trip any extra fabric you may have. I tend to leave a little extra just in case. And then flip it right side out as shown bellow......

Step 4:
Now put the piece you've sewn in the back right in the middle so that its not seen in the final product and tie a little piece of embroidery floss or string around the middle as shown below

Step 5:
And then you want to take a little piece of one of the two colors of fabric you had. I personally used fabric number one making fabric number two an accent color......and cut a small piece and glue one side to the bow before wrapping around and gluing the other side down as shown below.......

Now for a couple of lighted pictures ^.^ I kinda realized my mistakes a little too late but this is what the finished product ended up looking like ^.^

Now for the contest........I know its not like super fancy or anything.....I did make it in like ten minutes in my room.......But I was gonna give this bow on a headband away to the first person that comments on this post ^.^ !!! And this will be my first giveaway.......and I hope y'all enjoy it

As always thanx for reading ^.^

Contesting: Prize Arrival from the Ms. Prettyful Girl Contest

Hey all.......so I received my goodies yesterday from the Ms.Prettyful Girl contest that I entered not too long ago. Now know this, I entered without the slightest hope that I was gonna win. Randomizer tend to not like me at all ^.^  I don't know what it is......but its never me. So much to my surprise right when not only am I my lucky number in the contest (13) but also the randomizer chooses me first!!! And I get this comment on one of my blog posts saying to get in touch because I'm the winner......you should of seen the happy dance. (You'd see a lot of interesting things if I just set up a camera in here).....

Now my computer's outlook system is all screwed up.....so for about two hours there I thought I wasn't gonna be able to claim my prize but my phone has its own sort of outlook system.....its called lets text an e-mail ^.^ ......so long story short I won and this is what I won (be warned now.....crappy pictures I need a better camera or camera phone):

Blurry and everything.....better camera please lol
Anyway from left to right:
Luscious Liquid Lipstick in Maple Sugar
Regular & Waterproof Mascara Duo in Black

Photoshoot: Join the Dark Side

So I recently had a shoot with Bob Williams (http://jrobertwilliams.com/) in this old abandoned house. Now technically (key word here) we didn't have permission to be there......but they were gonna tear it down anyway so we figured it would be awesome to just snap a few pictures there. And we got some great images at that ^.^ Not to mention this was my first time working with Bob and he's one of my new favorite photographers. He's super easy to talk to and easy to work with ^.^

Now the hair and make-up was all me ^.^ I just simply teased the hair out and it got huge. With the make-up I did a simple smoky eye and a very red lip. Though I kinda cheated on the lip. I couldn't find my red lip gloss so I use some clear gloss and a high pigmented blush from Sephora to get them that red........

I hope you enjoy.......I've come to love these images......welcome to the dark side ^.^

Now having seen the great images ya gotta say that the dark side is appealing. And that that picture I uploaded in my shopping blog post didn't do that outfit any justice ^.^ The first and second images would be pictures of that outfit.......all second hand. With the exception of the shoes and thigh highs which I got at Hot Topic. And the second outfit is all hot topic. But most of it is like......four years old or older ^.^  Meaning take care of your clothes......

Anyway, thanx as always for reading........

Color Psychology: Make-Up Artist for the Yellow Shoot

So I ended up doing the hair and make up for my friends shoot which was the yellow version of my green one ^.^ and had a blast. Kassi is a newer model and she is just rocking it. I'm loving her work and I love working with her because she's just so cool and tons of fun......and the photographer is Kayla of Shuttermind Photography.....(both those are facebook links so add them).....Anyway Kayla is awesome and her work is beautiful. I'm hoping to work with both of them often in the future ^.^ Now here is the image

This is the beauty of the finished image.....great job by all I think ^.^

Now for some behind the scenes pictures ^.^

This is Kayla shooting Kassi...you'll notice that things weren't as sunny as we had hoped for

This is Kayla trying to show Kassi what she wanted to do for a jumping idea........
Now I'm sad that I didn't get her in the air.......and when I get a decent camera these Behind the Scenes pics will be much better........
Oh and jumping didn't work in the long dress......

And this is what I was doing before I figured out I could be taking behind the scenes images ^.^ !!!!

Kerli and Chubby Bunny Contest: My Entry and How I Made it

Hey everyone just wanted to put up a post about the Kerli and Chubby Bunny contest I just entered ^.^ And I made it all in a day.....because thats how long I had to. So the two pictures below are of the outfit I entered........taken by the great/awesome/totally winning Nick Johnson

So here is the run down of whats in the outfit ^.^ :

1)White Shrug - I made this with a white satin ribbon and then you just layer the fluffy white fabric (needs to be super stiff - mine I got from my mother) like you would with a mini skirt......and then sew along the middle of the ribbon.

TIPS: watch the fluffy stuff because it'll get sewn to the ribbon. And try to sew as close to straight down the center as possible to keep the attachment even.

2)Veiled Tube Top - So mine was made with a little bit of purple star fabric that I had put aside but you can really use any type of cotton for this......and then something like tulle only your gonna want it to be softer and maybe not as stiff. So I folded the bottom of the cotton fabric under and then sewed the tulle like fabric up at the same point so that it looks like its attached under there....gives it a little bit of dimension too. Then take a little bit of the same tulle fabric and I added the rope of sequins and sew it into either side. That gives ya a tie and the little accent in the front......

TIPS: when sewing in the sequin rope your gonna want a little extra to hold out the sides when your sewing over it. And when sewing the sides watch the bottom veil.

3)Mini Skirt - So these are super simple. But they always turn out looking great. What you do is get a piece of fabric....cotton preferably or something that doesn't stretch. And then you cute lengths of tulle out. I like to fold my tulle in half and then half again to get about the right length. And I chose two colors here (both also thanx to my mother). Fold each length of fabric in half and twist at the middle. Take the folded in half bits and pin them along the line of the fabric.....up a little higher then flush with it so you can sew it in. The second color I did every four of the first one. The number is your choice though. Sew the edges in on the outsides and then fold in half and sew along the seam. For the back your gonna want an eyelet punch and six eyelets - three on each side- and some yarn/ribbon/string. And then your finished.

Now for my look I made little white lace leggings that didn't fit well enough so I'll post a new blog about them later......when I get them right. I added a length of tulle around the waist. And then three little bows. One in my hair, one on the bust line and one on the sash/belt. I'll tell you how to make those in a later post ^.^ Well the next post to be exact. With pictures and everything ^.^ and there will be a contest to win one so stay tuned.......

And as always..........Thanx for reading ^.^

Video Shoot: 1-Hour Shoot Video and Another Video from the Project

So yesterday me and Kassi went to this one hour video shoot. It was basically like an audition to see how well we can act (which in my case isn't very well ^.^) and if we did well enough then they would use us for the full length movie they are doing.......well here is that video that we did:

:it was suppose to be an hour worth of shooting and then a minute worth of video but the video is a little longer ^.^ and I must say I do enjoy it. I think that we both did awesome. And they wanna give both of us small roles in the full length movie.....score!!!! Oh and here is a little (thirteen minute) clip that they did for the movie as well ^.^........hope you enjoy!!!!

Oh as always thanx for reading!!!!!

Day to Day: A Little Shopping and Weekend Goals

So I have a couple shoots coming and did a little shopping. I probably shouldn't have but I really like to have nice pictures.......and that requires the right wardrobe ^.^ Though I must say at times I feel like I'm falling a little bit short on that.........Anyway below are pictures of the clothing I bought for two upcoming shoots.......

This is a Bra, Panty and Garter set I made at Ross for about ten bucks.......
And a plastic tiara, which makes me angry because I would of loved to have the $17 one if I had had the money to get it!!!!!!
And I still need to get me some lace gloves and lace thigh highs.

And these two pictures are of the outfit I was hoping would work for my shoot Monday...I was told a Victorian feel to it but all the clothing I have is a little more goth then Victorian (which is sad because I like the other style better)........so I went out and bought this outfit. I believe it cost me $32 in the end second hand. And I'm still gonna look into some thigh highs to go with........but I went for more of a Gothic Lolita look which is sorta Victorian in a modern day way........we'll see how it works ^.^

Now onto some goals for this weekend since it seems that I have nothing to shoot ^.^............I want to get this list of things done this weekend:

*clean my house (it needs it)
*make entry piece for Kerli/Chubby Bunny Contest (which you can find here)
*get started on figuring out tea party designs
*work on finding some patterns on line

:and I think those might be my biggest goals. I mean if Kassi has time we might go check out some fabric and such for her outfit........and maybe a horror movie marathon on Friday the 13th ^.^ but other then that I would like to get those four things done this weekend.

Questing......progress on the Victorian Skirt (again)

So its been less then a week since the last time that I posted on this subject but I'm really really really excited. Now as y'all know by now I'm questing for a floor length PVC Victorian skirt.......actually the very same one seen in this picture (with minor color changes).........

And to tell you the truth I wasn't making much progress. I was putting extra change in the donation jar with some exceptions.........and I was taking it to work with me to see if any of my coworkers wanted to donate say their pennies (the most undervalued piece of currency ^.^) and was just getting no where......and fast!!!

And then I introduced suckers ^.^ donate and you get a sucked........and for some reason that picked up the pace a little bit but it still wasn't happening. And I realized what I was doing wrong. I wasn't posting anything about it on my Facebook or talking to friends about it. So I do and next thing you know I make more then double the amount it took me like a week to get........so I now have a little bit of a technique.......

Now for all those of you curious out there I've made it to $15.67 of the $155 I need for a 10.1% goal progression.......meaning I'm over a tenth of the way there ^.^ though ten of that is from my mommy paying me back.........

Now I'll keep ya up to date on this as things go along and we'll see that we can't make this happen by the end of next month ^.^ because I have a few more tricks up my sleeves......oh and feel free to donate when you see me

Fan Art: My First Piece of Fan Art

So I recieved my first piece of fan art yesterday......and I blogged about my shoot that I got the picture from and totally didn't have enough time to blog this so I'm doing it now......I'm so excited that someone picked me to do a piece of art from ^.^  This piece was made by Duke Sharp Attack (thats his facebook) and I love love love him for doing it for me.......made me feel super special......and he put me in a Torture Couture (see more of their work at http://www.torturecouture.com/)....either way without further ado......lovely fan art ^.^

Oh I am such a space cadet ^.^  Check here for the original image by Dave at Classic Rock Photos.......once again thank you for reading ^.^

Body Paint Fun: Bathing Suits and Corsets

Today was an adventure in bodypaint for me and Kassie ^.^ with one of my favorite photographers Nick Johnson (http://www.nickjohnson.net/)....and we killed it.....here are a couple images from the set. But let me set the scene here first and foremost.......Kassi went first and it took her two hours to get painted and about thirty minutes on her hair/make-up before she spent like ten to twenty minutes in front of the camera to get some awesome shots. I took probably about the same amount of time with being painted and doing my hair/make-up before being shot for like ten to twenty minutes and getting some awesome shots........now you know why I love Nick :)

This is a front shot of the corset that was painted on and I think it looks great......
The mask here is by EpicLeather

This is a back view of the corset that Nick did for me.......
Again mask by EpicLeather

And I added in a picture of Kassie because this is the first shoot where I got to do someone else's make-up...
And I think that I did an awesome job so look at it.......

Anyway......just wanted to give you a little peek into what I did all day today.....and keep checking back because we got another two or three ideas waiting to be tried ^.^ Thanx for reading......

Color Psychology: Finished Images

Sooooo I know I've blogged about a lot of things today but here is the finished image from one of my shoots today ^.^

Hair and Make-Up are a combined effort between the two of us
Photography and Photoshop work also by Shuttermind Photography
Model Me ^.^

I had an awesome time shooting with Kayla of Shuttermind Photography today......we did some trial and error with the hair and make-up till we figures it out. And then went on a quick stroll to a very pretty and secluded area of woods near her house......where we got these beautiful images......it was great because it didn't take forever either to get great images ^.^ because she went there knowing what she was looking for

And then I kinda left to get ready for another shoot and by the time I was done she'd already shot me a text with the image and had it uploaded ^.^

And I just looooove it.....I would so recommend working with her and plan on taking some super artsy looks that I've been wanting to try to her to get the images I want ^.^

The second shoot was just as fun.....but I'll tell ya about that one when I get some pictures ^.^ Good night everyone and thanx for reading

Color Psychology: Crafting for the Shoot

So just wanted to add a quick blurb here......I was suppose to make these last night but got distracted by sleep ^.^  Anyway I made some super easy hair things to go with the shoot today.....by super gluing leaves to bobby pins........there are three different sizes and close to two different colors.....and I used my camera phone for pictures so they are pretty bad quality I think but check it out ^.^

these are more olive then that.....and see just attached to bobbie pins

These ones were a little smaller so the pins stick out on the sides.
They'll still work though because I have super dark hair......but need to look into shorted pins.

And these ones are the easiest. They are huge and just kinda took to being make ^.^

Anyway just wanted to give ya a quick heads up on the cool little things I made for my shoot ^.^  Gonna play with the flowers a little sometime tonight or tomorrow and see if I can't get some cute little hair accessories going.......so stay tuned and thanx for reading

Questing......progress on the Victorian Skirt

hello lovlies......so I though I would post an update on my quest to owning this beautiful PVC Victorian skirt.......

So I know I post about this a bit ago but I didn't actively start my quest till a few days ago so bear with me ^.^  I've decided that I'm gonna split the whole thing up into three different pieces and quest them each one at a time......that way I have some way of measuring my progress.......

And here is the first news on progress ^.^  After two days of saving random change I now have $2.93 or 1.9% of the $155 that I'm gonna need for this beautiful piece of clothing ^.^  Its so nice to see some sort of progress even if it isn't much......at this rate its gonna take me over 100 days to get it......but I have a few tricks up my sleeves to speed this along

Now if any of you lovely people would just love to donate to the cause (hint hint...nudge nudge lol) just send me a message at labellefillemodeling@hotmail.com or on Facebook........or if ya live close enough stop me as you see me wondering around to put you donation in my jar ^.^   Thanx for reading and come back next time.......

Fun In The Sun: ISO Connection meet up and shoot

So this last Saturday I attended my first ISO Connection meet up and shoot. And I had a blast ^.^ !!! I got there somewhere around 7 30 am a little groggy as I am not a morning person and I had finished the hard parts of my root canal the day before. And I was one of the first models there (the only one after Kassi left). We started out a little slow and without make-up......so here we go:

This is one of the first images of the day. Taken by Zyye Images.
Now as I said this was early.....and no make-up....and the curlers didn't dry all the way through so iffy curls.
That being said I must say I love this one ^.^

Now for a quick change (and still no make-up lol) and I get to play on a stump.
This image is taken by Jeremy Kruempel (thats a facebook link because you all have one)

And then I kind of ended up stretching over the log......which was nice for pictures......but I got stuck that way
Picture was taken by JayCee Photo (another facebook link)

Then I got to play with a little tulle ^.^ Always a treat for me

And one last image without make-up and starting to get a little red from the windburn and sunburn

Here are a couple candid shots of me and Kassi talking with people and enjoying lunch!
I'll tell you one thing that sand likes food.....and sandy steak is kinda exotic in a way ^.^
Oh oh oh and I put on make-up around this time

Here are a couple of bikini shots with me and Kassi......by the way it was freezing and windy that day!!!
Photos by Jeremy Kruempel

And the last couple of shots here........
Nick took us to a little cove we found where it was sunny and there was no wind!!!!
Kind of a god sent because we got to be warm for a little bit......and we got some super cute pictures from it.

Now I'll add more as they come in so be on the look out for new picture........ hopefully at least a few more ^.^ from this weekend.....and thanx for reading my blog
