To Be Published.......Is Amazing (fist publication)

I have been talking about this for awhile for those of you that are friends with me on Facebook and if not I might of mentioned it somewhere......either way I'm mentioning it now.......I've been published!!!!

Now Giuseppina Magazine (check em out here) is on their seventh issue and this happens to also be their Gay Pride Issue. So I thought it would be an awesome time to put into effect an idea of mine about the day of silence.  Basically it was a lingerie shoot with six girls based on the fact that so many gay or lesbians are forced to keep quite about their sexuality.......and by the time we were done it ended up showing two other things. First that if all these girls were to say they were gay then you can see how different we all are in appearance as well as personality and background. And second that if they all aren't how can you tell which of us is?

Now I was all hopes that we would be published. And when I was told that I was being published I was way excited but I did have to wait for it to be published before showing any of the images. And now I'm just waiting for the cash to order myself a print copy. Now that is a little weird but they are an independant and small magazine just now starting so I didn't expect them to be able to send everyone a print copy.......anyway enjoy ^.^

Thanks as always for reading......^.^

And you can order a copy HERE if you would like

Movie Review: Doomsday

Doomsday is not one of the films in the pattern ^.^ but something I felt like watching so I figured I'd do a review. This movie happens to be one of my favorites. It starts with a very dramatic scene where soldiers
mow down civilians, one of which has an infection that they are trying to contain, and in the process shoot a little girl in the eye. They shut and weld the doors to the gate close on the citizens. The mother of the little girl manages to get her onto a helicopter with the soldiers.

Years later it picks up where the little girl as a soldier. And the virus is back. They notice survivors in the containment area and they set up an expedition out there to find a survivor that might have a cure running through their veins.

As they start their journey you notice a few things. There are numbers on doors to show how many were inside needing rescue that never came. As they explore a lab not too far in you get your first taste of those who have survived. A girl wanders up to distract which a whole group comes up on them. Carrying weapons that are something of medieval mixed with apocalyptic........and action ensues as the throw fire bombs on the escaping vehicles. And the girl decoy turned killer......the two vehicles that they bring with them quickly are taken out. And an alleyway battle ensues. As does their capture.....

Enter now into the world of the survivors. Watch the fire dancers spin what looks like electrical sparks. And the girls dace. Watch as their leader dances about on stage. To an adoring crowd. And then watch as they
cook those they captured alive for their feast. A disgusting feat of cannibalism but something to say about what one has to do when put in such a situation. Though no more messed up then having been the ones that put them in that situation.

After the feast the main character escapes and take with her one of the hostages. Surely meant for their next feast. But not before a little girl on girl fighting. And they make their get away through the train station.........while followed by some pretty cool looking vehicles.

Change from the city to a trek through the woods things don't get any better. They turn into something reminisce of the medieval time. Complete with a king and king's executioner.......

As they talk you get a flash back to the city where the virus runs rampant. A rouge gets into the building before they shut it off. He gets it all the way to the top and gets shot in time to infect the owner.....person that runs the city......who then shoots himself. Preferring to die then suffer from the disease.......

The survivors are slated to be killed but by this medieval civilization. But once again they managed to get away.....finding the store house and in it one of the prettiest cars they could of in such a place. And they make their escape.....one less person. And in comes our much needed car chase ^.^ I for one am always down for a good car chase. And these cannibals do know how to make a cool post apocalyptic car....or a whole host of them.

The ending of this movie movie while touching leaves much to be desired for my liking. I understand the idea of it and everything but I would like a little more explanation about what happens. But that is always the way of it......now if your one for action movies then I would say that this is a nice one to watch. But don't watch with people that talk or you'll never understand anything ^.^

As always thanx for reading ^.^

Book Review: The Vampire Chronicles by Anne Rice

So I thought I'd start doing reviews on books I read (which are many) and the movies I watch (this number is quite larger)......just as a means of showing y'all what I'm up to when I'm not doing exciting things.......and to see if y'all can maybe pick up a pattern in my reading habits right now.......

So to start it off I just finished the Vampire Chronicles by Anne Rice. And it looks rather a lot like this book here. As in all three come in one book. So I can review them together.

The first being Interview with a Vampire. Now reading this was very interesting because I've watched the movie as many of you have, I'm sure. Now while reading it I notice the small (and not so small changes) made in plot between the two.......for those of you that have neither read the book nor watched the move I'll give a quick over view......This novel follows Louis de Point du Lac as he tells his story to David, a reporter. Now early on in the story Louis is changed into a vampire by Lestat and they continue to live a normal life (all be it a tortured one for the novels main character as he still seems to live under the rule of morality and to all intents has a soul). Until sometime when Louis wants to leave Lestat. Enter Claudia, Lestat's way of keeping Louis around until the fateful day that Louis and Claudia escape together in search of other like themselves. Finally settling in Paris they are to find their first sign of other vampires at the Theatre de Vampires. And this story starts to unwind as Claudia is put to death with her new fledgling mother (made for her by Louis). Louis takes his revenge on the theater and leaves with Armand (the man who ran the theater) to travel for years before returning to New Orleans where it all started to see Lestat. And that leads up to his story being told to the reporter. A story that falls on dead ears............

The second book is The Vampire Lestat, now a rock star it is his self titled autobiography. It follows a younger Lestat de Lioncourt from being the son of a lower nobility to him running away to live in Paris with a childhood friend to be an actor. Where a vampire seeks him out to be made into what he is. To make a child to follow him before throwing himself onto the fire. Lestat finds he has inherited the tower as well as a large sum of money which he uses to make life comfortable for those he loves. I'm gonna rather shorten the amount of information that was in that book down but here is what is important......he makes his mother and friend into vampires to keep him company. And once they are gone he wanders alone until the day his friend dies. He buries himself in the earth at the time till one of the old ones comes to get him. Marius comes to get him and introduces him to The Ones Who Must Be Kept. And tell him all his secrets making him swear never to tell anyone and telling him to live a normal life with his dad in New Orleans. Where him, Louis and Claudia live for well over 70 years. Then the tragedies happen and he goes into the earth again to rise in the 80's. He becomes a rock star and author to tell all the stories of vampires to human kind. To cause a war. And it all ends right after his rock show.......

The last book in this series is The Queen of the Damned. This one is a lot harder to explain. Akasha one of Those Who Must Be Kept wakes finally to the world. The first part is a bunch of stories from different vampires and humans about vampires being burnt to death without being touched and all the coven houses going down. Once you get to it not being a bunch of different points of view there are really only two. When you are with Lestat as he and Akasha demolish all the men in small cities for Akasha's dream. Or with the group of those vampires that Lestat loves or that are too strong to be easily destroyed where you learn the beginnings of Akasha and the story of the twins. It all ends in them being well alive and Akasha being very much dead. But its an interesting journey.

Now while I know that in itself was a lot to read I have a little more to say about this series. Anne Rice gives us many new ideas to think of about the vampire when it comes to the differences between them and Dracula, or the average vampire. Many new powers and ideas.......and while the first book is an easy read the second two are rather longer and a little harder to read. Might just of been the type on mine but I felt like we were trying to crunch two books in one with each.......But I would recommend that anyone that is interested should read them given that they have read her stuff before and know what they are getting themselves into.....

Well as always lovelies thanx for reading.....

PS as a side note....in her recent relapse into religion Anne Rice now states that she did not write these books lol

Love and Lingerie: Baby Blue with Red Deer Steel Boned Underbust Corset

So as of today I've noticed something that I thought would be super awesome. The Baby Blue with Red Deer Steel Boned Underbust Corset by Purrfect Pineapples (Facebook - Etsy - Webpage) has been up on their etsy page for $195 for over a month now. And I've been waiting to get some extra money in order to get it......

There have been two times that they have put up coupon codes for 25% off but I just didn't have the money. But now I have the money.....I think. But whats better is that its been marked down from $195 to $165 and there is a coupon code till Sunday that will get me 25% off......making it about $123.75 and then shipping.

Now I have $50 of that set away in a jar that I've been saving up to buy something off etsy with. And I know it doesn't make sense but I think I am saving up for like 20 different things right now. And I have a certain way I get money for all those different jars.......

Now thats $50 out of $123.75 or a 40.4% but it ends on Sunday so what I think I'm gonna do is grab this with money from my savings account and continue saving the rest up to replace it into my savings account......oh and check out what it looks like ^.^ I'll be ordering it tonight or tomorrow and can't wait.

And as always thanx for reading ^.^

Questing.....the secondary quest

Now onto my secondary quest.......Sugarpill cosmetics. The colors I'm looking at are - Burning Heart Palette (Flamepoint, Buttercup, Love+ and Poison Plum); Tako; Lumi; Absinthe; and Bulletpoof. And like I said I am thinking about changing Tako to another color for my second order..........

Anyway......I still haven't picked the color to replace it. So it'll remain till I do. As of today I have $54 of the $82 I need for a wonderful 65.9%. And about $28 more to come by. This one is coming along as a rather quicker pace then the other quest was but its also quite a bit cheaper.

As always thanx for reading ^.^

Questing.....Progression of the Victorian Skirt

So I know it looks like this is the only thing that I post about but my days as of late have been full of self sustaining things......not much to post about but I have a list of things to post about today and here is the first.....

So at present time I have $107.16 out of the $155 needed for a 69.1% completion. And I see if coming along so well. Its nice though. I only have $47.84 left to go.......meaning I could have it done within the next month or two ^.^ And I'm so excited!!! Then its onto a new piece of clothing to quest for.

Thanks as always for reading ^.^ And any donations would be much appreciated.......

Questing.....start of a secondary quest (Sugarpill)

So as I have this system of doing my money so that it is spread around a bit I decided that I would add a secondary quest here so that everyone can watch them too ^.^ I have like ten going on right now but I'll just add this second one for now as more then that might get a little confusing........\

And here is what I'm questing..........

Its the Burning Heart Palette by Sugarpill Cosmetics (Facebook link) which will run me about $34 with a $5 shipping. Now with this palette comes the colors Flamepoint (orange), Buttercup (yellow), Love + (red) and Poison Plum (purple). Now I must admit that this is my ideal palette here as I'm one for bright yet deeper colors. And I love red no matter where ya find it. But I have been thinking that I might do something else entirely.......

Because when you buy $75 worth of products from them then you get free shipping and I am sure that I have well over $75 worth of colors that I want.......so this quest is gonna be for that.......and here are the others I would love to get as well......if stock permits.......

This first one is called Tako and its a pressed powder. Runs about $12

This would be Lumi and its a loose powder. It runs $12 as well.

This wonderful color is called Absinthe in a loose power showing the wonderful packaging...runs $12 also

And last is a wonderful matte black called Bulletproof running $12 as well.......

Seeing as this would add up to $82 I think that I would get free shipping lol.......there might be one change later on for I think I might trade Tako out for another color and go for the Sweetheart Pallette which includes Tako......if so I'll put that in the next update......

Here is how the monies are working out though......as of today I have $32 towards this purchase out of $82 putting me at 39% of this one completed......already pretty decently on my way ^.^

Now I'm sure you might be wondering if this will effect my other quest. But with the aforementioned system any money towrds this quest will actually be a different piece of pie when it comes to the graph of my extra monies......so it won't affect my other quest at all ^.^  And you never know which one will end up being done first ^.^

Questing......progress on the Victorian Skirt part 3

So I haven't been updating on much and seeing as I've made a decent amount of progress on this I thought it might be a good idea to update it ^.^

For those new to my blog (and that haven't read back in my blogs ^.^) I'll give this a new introduction......I'm trying to save up for this outfit:

Well more importantly I'm saving up for the beautiful skirt part of this outfit......easily the most expensive part too.....

Now on to the important facts......so far I've managed to save up $82.64 out of the $155 that I need for the skirt.......bringing my percentage up to 53.3% which is well over half way to me.......I can see this falling into my grasps now!! How lovely it will be to get this in the mail one day soon.......or at least I'm hoping to ^.^

Now as always thanx for reading my friends ^.^

Day to Day: Case of the Hermiting Model

So I've been in a bit of a hermiting mood......for the last two weeks and I apologize to all those who read my blog and have been missing it......so here is a little bit of an update on me ^.^

Before i went into hiding I spent a week like this - I was organising a shoot for a magazine which included getting everyone there (5 models a photographer and myself) with all the right gear (color coded lingerie for the models and camers/lighting for the photographer); added to the above I made all the accessories for the shoot (2 to 4 bows per model and a collar); and had a dentist appointment. This was all on top of my normal things like working and the forty minutes walking back and forth to work. And keeping the house clean and doing all my on line sights and so forth........and I was tired so I took a break ^.^

Now this is what a hermiting model such as myself does when they hermit. This has been my last two to three weeks........

I spent a weekend with my family pretty much not doing anything too productive. The first day I spent all day watching shows on couponing and learned things on line about how to do it. The second day I did some more couponing and then went with them to the car show for a little while. And the third day i spent most the day making little bows (the sewing parts anyway).

The following week was spent mainly at work. I had my mom picking me up in the mornings to go with her to the college to print coupons. And then I would go to work and clip them out. I did get money in the mail from having done back taxes so I wrote up a little bit of my questing things.....or at least I wrote it down.

Last weekend I tried to get through as many of the movies in our house as I could and did a little cleaning. Followed by a more couponing that week....a quick store trip to try out couponing. And then a week of going into the college some more with my mom and re-reading of the Harry Potter series since the last movie is coming out soon (or has come out?).

Now I'm back to the real world.....got myself caught up somewhat on my on line things. And am working on a lot of things........

1) trying to get a bunch of things up and in my etsy account before the magazine goes out so that people will see something in my shop.....

2) starting on the creative aspect of two sets I wanna do for shoots......these will include more then one model and quite a bit of artistic ness.....so keep an eye open

3) trying to get some clothing put together so that I know I can do well at making clothes.....I don't think that I'll have trouble I just always second guess myself

4) planning a quick trip to Portland this month......

5)starting a third blog about couponing to help local katz if your interested I should have it up by tomorrow evening.....showing coupons how to use them to get super cheap things and freebies ^.^

And much much more.......but now I'm gonna go get dressed up to head to the bar to celebrate that my roomie finally turned 21 ^.^ As always thanx for reading and I'll catch all you kool katz later ^.^
